The flag of Taiwan constitutes a red background with a dark blue rectangle in the upper hoist-side corner bearing a white Sun with 12 triangular rays. The design of the white sun on the blue field dates back to 1895 and was later adopted as the flag of the Kuomintang Party. 

The flag consists of a total of three colors, blue, white, and red. The dimension of the flag is in the ratio of width to length of 2:3. The Sun’s diameter, including the rays, is 6/8 of the height of the blue section.

History Of Taiwan Flag
